A Little More About The Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst to help drive the quantitative and qualitative analysis central to the management and development of Gravie’s innovative insurance products and services, including our flagship level-funded and self- funded health benefits. Join us as we reinvent the way people purchase and access healthcare.
You Will
- Develop analytics for current product performance and new product development. You will play a key role in helping Gravie to understand the performance of its business, understand new opportunities, and translate those insights into solutions that meaningfully improve the health benefits people get and the healthcare they receive.
- Ask and answer the right questions, including: How are we doing? What should we continue doing? What should we stop doing? What should we start doing in the future?
- Take ownership of regular deliverables for various business units, leveraging multiple technologies to produce solutions that are consistent, accurate, and efficient.
- Transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights using creative analytics and visualization solutions. Design and conduct diverse quantitative and qualitative analyses to support the evaluation, management, and growth of new and existing products.
- Make data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making, based on your analytics expertise and learned knowledge of the health insurance and other products that Gravie sells.
- Collaborate in the design, development, and enhancement of our growing analytics platform. Partner with cross-functional teams to effectively integrate data insights into business strategies and product improvements, in a robust and scalable fashion.

You Bring
- Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Quantitative proficiency, with some mathematical and statistical work experience and/or coursework.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with ability to manipulate large and complex datasets and perform insightful analysis on that data.
- Experience using SQL to query databases and explore data.
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other statistical programming languages.
- Excellent attention to detail with demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Habits of excellent organization, time management, and responsiveness.
- A flexible attitude and ability to work independently with limited direction.
- An appetite for learning and quickly putting what you learn into practice.
- College degree, technical certification or equivalent experience required.
Extra Credit
- Background or interest in health insurance or healthcare
- Understanding of industry-specific datasets (claims, EHR, etc.) or KPIs
