RNs needed for day shifts (7am-430pm) Monday to Friday, contract assignment. Pays $70 hourly.
Registered Nurse - RN - Occupational Health Requirements
- Flexible hours between 730a-4pm. Monday-Friday.
- Requires: 1 year of experience in occupational medicine, orthopedics, urgent care or emergency medicine (injury assessment and triage).
- Registered Nurse in California
- AHA BLS required
- COVID vaccine with Booster required
- Injury and Illness Treatment: Evaluate and treat acute or serious injury (e.g., injections, sutures, fractures, concussions), or illness (e.g., chest pain, seizures, respiratory emergencies), or chemical exposures, as allowed under Standardized Procedure and the Nurse Practice Act. Utilize expert professional clinical judgment to determine and arrange proper disposition of employees to a hospital, appropriate physician(s), home or return to work. Collaborate with Health Services Clinical Manager and/or the Site Occupational Medical Director as needed to coordinate care, seek clinical help, and inform of worker injuries.
- Contribute to the success of worksite health and safety programs and help optimize employees’ health, by performing various medical surveillance exams (e.g.,medical and work histories, physical assessment, blood tests, audiograms, pulmonary function tests.)
- Occupational Hazards: Identify real and potential health problems and hazards at the workplace through methods including work-site surveys, toxicological literature research, and analysis of OSHA 200 logs and accident reports. Maintain familiarity with workplace hazards, including chemical, physical and radiological hazards. Consult with other safety and health team members to improve occupational health practices and eliminate safety hazards.
- Case Management: Collaborate with the Clinical manager and/or the Site Occupational Medical Director, clinic and HR staff for the assessment, planning, coordination and monitoring of quality and cost-effective options and services necessary to optimize the occupationally injured workers’ recovery and successful return to work.
