Responsibilities
- Passion for serving the Development Department and the Field Staff’s product needs
- Willing and capable for advocating for Development Department product and process towards mission maturity.
- Elicit and evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions appropriate for global development applications.
- Act as a bridge in translation of technical issues with product stakeholders and development teams.
- Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirement of the Development Department and field staff.
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies.
- Stay current on the latest processes and IT advancements and trends to automate and modernize systems.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Leverage data analysis to enhance the ROI of Development Analytics, optimize operational reports, and support Development-driven marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with product stakeholders and development staff to understand user needs and pain points related to fundraising tools and processes.
- Analyze product usage data to identify areas for improvement and prioritize development efforts for fundraising applications.
- Develop and maintain clear and concise dashboards and reports for the field and development leadership.
- Ensure a mutually beneficial relationship between Development Services and IS department by aligning with established IS standards and excellence of practice.
- Work closely with the Information System team of Young Life to develop and maintain information systems using the same strategic technologies.
- Understand the data models necessary to support a wide variety of information needs.
- Collect, interpret, analyze, and utilize statistical analysis techniques to support key business decisions.
- Identify trends and patterns in donor behavior and campaign performance.
- Contribute to user story development and product roadmap creation, ensuring alignment with fundraising goals.
- Stay current on industry best practices and emerging technologies to inform the development of user-friendly fundraising tools.
- Assist with user acceptance testing and product documentation for new features.
- Effectively communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences within the Development department.
- Partner with development, product, and IT teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain manuals and documentation as they relate to development information systems technologies.
- Prepare annual development statistics report for the Young Life Board and senior leadership.
- Provide ad hoc statistical data as requested by field and Development leadership.
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
- Monitor deliverables and track key dates.
- Provide necessary onboarding, training and supervision of Development Business Analyst
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in business intelligence or data analysis.
- Experience with data analysis tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative and results-oriented team player.
- Proactive in actions and demonstrates initiative.
