Description Of Duties/Essential Functions
Are you a critical thinker with a keen eye for patterns and data? We're seeking a dedicated Criminal Intelligence Analyst to join our team and make an impact! You'll play a vital role in researching and evaluating public safety data and providing actionable insights that help keep our community safe!
Key Responsibilities
- Transform data into insights: Compile comprehensive reports on crime patterns using your analytical skills to identify trends and changes in criminal activity.
- Craft clear and compelling visual presentations (graphs, charts, tables) that communicate your findings effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Compile and analyze findings related to criminal activity in the City of Houston
- Respond to Texas Public Information Act requests for police-related information

Working Conditions
The position occasionally requires stooping or bending. Occasional very light lifting, such as three or four reams of papers or books (up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight) may be required.
There are occasional minor discomforts from exposure to less-than-optimal temperature and air conditions, the position may involve dealing with modestly unpleasant situation, as with occasional exposure to office chemicals and/or extensive use of a video display terminal.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Science or a closely related field.
Experience Requirements
Four years of related experience in a law enforcement agency or in a position with analytical and practical skills and knowledge with business intelligence systems/databases are required.
License Requirements
None.

Salary Information
Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate’s qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification. The salary range is: 2,403.20 - 2,714.40
