Role: Senior Power BI Developer
Duration: 12+ months
Location: LA,CA and onsite initial 1-3 months
Responsibilities & Duties
·Partner with business teams to gather, document and maintain business requirements documents, create process flow diagrams, UI mockups for development teams using tools like Visio, MS Word, MS Excel, Adobe PDF and other similar tools.
·Schedule meetings with IT SMEs to articulate solutions while ensuring the business requirements are met.
·Develop logic by writing T-SQL queries to create data sets on adhoc basis based on requirements from business.
·Create reports and dashboards using reporting tools like Power BI/SSRS as per business requirements.
·Prepare Test plans and test cases for functional scenarios and perform testing effectively.
·Responsible for peer code review and provide improvements (if necessary).
·Responsible for creating a continuous improvement process, investigating problems, generating recommendations, and implementing solutions based on the use of reporting tools like Power BI and SSRS.
·Identify and implement process improvements making the organization more effective and efficient.
·Perform other duties as assigned including mentoring low-level peers.
·Ensure data security is enforced concerning all confidential information including but not limited to internal use and restricted information.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum Job Experience: 8+
- Language requirements: English Written, Advanced Verbal
- Computer/software skills: Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Power point),
- Required:
·Writing Business Requirement Documents, functional specification documents and use cases.
·Expertise in writing T-SQL queries, stores procedures. Understand data optimization, query profiling and performance improvement.
·Proficient experience in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau etc
·Understanding of database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle etc, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) framework.
· Experience in effectively translating concepts into non-technical terms to business owners in a clear and concise manner.
· Experience in managing project timelines and ability to effectively self-prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
· Strong interpersonal, presentation and relationship building skills.
· Exhibit strong desire to learn, adapt to new technologies and grow.
· Banking industry experience in Commercial and Consumer Loans
