The Vx/ID Business Project Manager will support and manage the Vx/ID R&D relocation from Rockville to Boston till project completion in December 2025.
The successful candidate is responsible for coordinating and executing the project plan to ensure a successful Lab and people move to Boston, optimization of ways of working, processes and systems working in partnership with the program team. The program team is composed by Workstream Leads.
The Team mission is to ensure the successful completion of the project on time, on scope, within budget, and meet high quality standards, and that transition to Business as Usual is set up for success.
The Vx/ID Business Project Manager will “co-pilot” the Workstream Leads in their activities, and report to the Project Lead and dotted line to the Program Director.
This is a role which must be able to deal with high levels of complexity and ambiguity, as well as be able to effectively navigate through multiple stakeholders and their perspectives. Requires strong and sophisticated relationship building and influencing skills and will be comfortable making tangible progress with ambiguity and with minimal direction. This role requires the ability to think strategically about key issues affecting the Program and its implications as well as have the organizational maturity in managing stakeholders with multiple level of seniority.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Lead and the Program Director in providing strategic and operational support
- Managing Workstream Leads meeting, and ad-hoc meetings where needed, and ensuring minutes, action logs, decisions, and risks are captured and updated
- Ensure ways of working, interdependences and processes proposed by the Workstream Leads are adequate and applied and communicated consistently
- Ensure cadence of framework is followed (including preparation of the progress status reports by the workstream leads, risk management, …) and that a tailored change management approach is followed where needed
- Provide guidance and support to workstream lead and align on deliverables, processes, requirements, and due dates, monitor project progress, and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion
- Provide guidance and support to workstream leads to Identify and manage project risks, opportunities, and issues, and devise contingency plans
- Coordinate with workstream leads to align objectives and expectations
- Collect and propose Change Requests as per program defined process
- Input into the development and execution of communication strategy
- Maintain all project documentation in a current manner and comply with standard policies and procedures
- Ensure onboarding processes are applied
- Build and execute Audit Readiness plans
- Ensure proper transition of project outcome into operation to realize expected benefit
- Define management monitoring process to enable further continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience as a Project Manager and/or Change Manager, preferably in business transformation programs
- Proficiency in multiple project management methodologies, software, and tools
- Project Management qualification preferred (i.e. PRICE2, Agile, PMP, PgMP)
- Change Management qualification preferred (I.e. PROSCI, CCMP, etc.)
- Good knowledge of Change Management principles and processes
