Pinnacle Group are looking to recruit a dedicated Income Assistant to undertake a range of income collection support. Your responsibilities will include the collection of rent and service charge income and to provide a coordinated, flexible effective income collection service.
You will be joining our Affordable Housing team based in Brockley, Southeast London. The Affordable Housing team operates a large mixed portfolio of new and existing Affordable homes nationwide comprising Affordable and Social Rent, Shared Ownership and Supported homes. You will need excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of housing regulations, and a compassionate approach to customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Income Team on all income collection tasks including former tenant arrears, garage arrears, leasehold arrears, and Universal Credit/Housing Benefit administration.
- To provide administrative support to the Income team,
- Provide assistance to Income Officers in collection of low-level rent arrears. To include taking payments, setting up Direct Debits and signposting for specialist advice.
- To respond to customer telephone queries and email enquiries To ensure confidentiality is maintained in all matters relating to clients and their records.
- Effective use of IT equipment and software including housing and property management software.
Skills Required
- GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above or equivalent is essential
- Experience working in rent income collection for a housing association or local authority is ideal
- Experience in using housing management systems is ideal
- Competent using a wide range of Microsoft Office packages particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills (listening, written and oral) with an excellent standard of numeracy and literacy.
