Job Title: Program Manager – Permanent Housing
Classification: Exempt / Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Reports to: Director of Housing

WHAT YOU WILL DO: This position oversees the Permanent Supportive Housing Program at Interfaith Community Services. Responsible for program implementation and compliance, staff supervision, achieving objectives and performance related outcomes and performing work required to support the mission of Interfaith Community Services.
- Supervises all program activities including outreach, enrollment, placement, training and follow-up for grants to insure that all projected goals are met for all programs
- Oversees Permanent Housing units both in-house and scattered sites, reviewing clients for eligibility, interviewing families, collecting rent, completing lease applications and lease-up’s, and build relationships with Property Managers.
- Continuously monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods; assesses and monitors staff workloads, and identifies opportunities for improvement
- Provides leadership to program staff; conducts meetings and trainings to ensure program compliance and to enhance staff skills
- Establishes connections with appropriate private and public agencies, including departments within the agency to best meet the needs of the clients and the programs
- Utilizes the Coordinated Entry System
- Collects and reports program data, including but not limited to HMIS reporting and funders’ required data
- Intervenes and deescalates difficult clients or crises that require advanced clinical training
- Coordinates and provides support to interns and volunteers including clinical consultations and resource dissemination
- Attends and participates in program, agency and community meetings and trainings
- Provides direct service to clients including triage, assessment, crisis intervention and advocacy as needed
- Provides monthly/quarterly/annual reports as scheduled to the Contract Administrators, funders and the Director
- Completes monthly/quarterly/annual billing for each program and submits to the proper funder as well as Interfaith Accounting office
- Monitors all staff job performance, completes evaluations, ensures on-going staff training and development, and participates in the hiring of staff for department
- Monitors all in-house databases (Excel and Service Point) ensuring timely and correct data input
- Provides assistance to the Director and Director in grant writing and program development and special projects
- Assists with budget development and compliance, and fiscal reporting
- Remains on-call outside of normal working hours for program support
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Requirements
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 1+ years of relevant work experience required
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role or increasing responsibility required
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
