Pawsperity opened its doors in Kansas City, Missouri in January of 2016 as the only nonprofit dog grooming school within the country. Empowering families to become self-reliant through job training in the art of pet grooming, affordable housing, life skills, and practical solutions to end their cycle of poverty is the mission.
To support this dynamic organization, Pawsperity seeks a Property Management and IT Manager to support the mission by providing safe, effective equipment, systems, and facilities to our employees and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the development and implementation of system redundancies necessary to prevent and/or minimize service “downtime
- Setup, distribution, and maintenance of company hardware
- Provide IT Support for all electronic devices
- Research, vet, procure, allocate, and administer company hardware, software, and licenses
- Within the scope of ability complete all maintenance and repairs on company property, including leased/rented property when such maintenance/repair is our responsibility pursuant to the lease/contract
- Ensure company property remains in prime operating condition and in compliance with certifications, licenses, permits, etc
- Manage contract and performance of vendors for services such as pest management, duct cleaning, and snow/ice treatment, etc
- Establish systems necessary to ensure and evaluate physical plant safety and implement necessary changes
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience and IT Certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 1 Year of Relevant Experience (e.g. helpdesk, technical support, or IT support roles). Experience with troubleshooting and supporting hardware, software, and network systems
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems o Basic Knowledge of networking concepts
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and services (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Experience with managing software installations and updates
- Ability to troubleshoot common IT issues (printers, connectivity, hardware failures)
- Ability to move IT equipment, run cables, etc
- Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary (such as during system outages or upgrades)
- Strong communication skills to non-technical users
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 2+ years of Relevant Experience (e.g. helpdesk, technical support, or IT support roles)
- Experience managing facilities (scheduling maintenance, repairs, managing contractors, etc.)
- Microsoft Certified
- Experience Managing VoIP telephone system
Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
