Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - Remote | WFH

We are currently in search of an ambitious and results-oriented Assistant Project Manager to become an integral part of our team, contributing to a large-scale, multi-year construction program located in New Haven, CT.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead and oversee all elements of design and project management for new construction and renovation initiatives throughout their entire lifecycle.
- Supervise a diverse project team, including schedulers, cost estimators, inspectors, commissioning agents, and other technical personnel.
- Foster open lines of communication and manage relationships with stakeholders, including facility staff, faculty, project coordinators, general contractors, design professionals, vendors, and consultants.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive reports, presentations, briefings, and other technical documentation regarding project progress.
- Monitor site activities to ensure all work is executed per the established plans, timelines, and constraints.
- Collaborate with office-based cost and scheduling teams to maintain the pace and schedule of the project.
- Ensure quality control and oversee daily job activities conducted on-site.
- Manage client communications and design modifications; track changes in relation to project contingencies.
- Implement rigorous document and project controls to monitor safety reports, RFIs, and Submittal traffic for potential cost and schedule impacts.
- Meticulously document, track, and communicate all action items and activities through TEAMS meetings, weekly meeting minutes, and monthly project update reports.
- Execute additional project management duties and support business development initiatives as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in roles such as Construction Manager, Project Manager, or Superintendent.
- Proven track record in managing large, intricate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing renovation projects, particularly in occupied facilities.
- Experience in higher education, healthcare, or research/laboratory projects is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Project Management or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the owner in new construction, modernization, and/or repair programs.
- Strong self-starter with the ability to operate independently on-site while fostering collaboration with the corporate team as needed.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven capability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, and other industry-standard software.
- Must successfully pass a thorough criminal background check.
