Title: Technical Project Manager

Client: Large Retailer

Location: Hybrid in Carmel Mountain Valley

Rate: 65-75hr

Duration: 6 month contract with extensions

Day-to-Day: An employer in San Diego is looking for a Project Manager to join their team and support a massive rebuild and migration of their loyalty and promotion platforms from their legacy system to a SaaS offering. These loyalty and promotion programs will be integrated across an omni channel ecosystem and will be released in phases over the next year. The project is still at very early stages, so it is an exciting time to join the initiative.

This Project Manager will work in tandem with product development teams and other internal groups in the organization to ensure the new loyalty platform is implemented seamlessly. This is a matrixed retail environment, so the individual must understand cross-functional needs and timelines. The Project Manager must be a self-starter and technically apt. This person must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must Haves

5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, ideally supporting complex full lifecycle software implementation projects
Experience overseeing back end system migration projects
Ability to act as a Scrum Master, owning agile ceremonies and delivery for a Scrum team
Experience creating project plans, timelines, Gant charts
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams (technical and non technical)
Strong proficiency in Jira and similar tools
Self-starter, strategic thinking, technical aptitude

Plusses

Experience within promotional domain, loyalty systems, or retail systems
Experience with Eagle Eye or similar promotions platform (Talon One, Epsilon, Crowd Twist, etc.)
Experience implementing products across omnichannel platforms - POS, .com, in store, ecommerce
