The opportunity:
We are seeking a
Program Manager, Strategic Initiatives to join our Strategy Office, reporting directly to the Chief of Staff. This role is essential for driving the successful execution and governance of RCL's strategic initiatives that span across cross-functional teams. The Program Manager will lead strategic program governance and connect long-term strategy to operational execution.
Job Description:
Drive Execution of Strategic Initiatives:
- Lead strategic program governance and manage interdependencies within initiatives and teams.
- Own the health documentation of projects, tracking statuses against scope and budget, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop and oversee project plans, timelines, and budgets, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure project alignment with strategic objectives.
Ensure Leadership Team Operational Excellence :
- Support the operating and strategy calendar for the leadership team, under the Chief of Staff, including program managing quarterly business reviews, team strategy offsites, and townhalls.
- Manage and implement long-range planning frameworks and processes to connect long-term strategy to annual/quarterly operating plans
- Develop and iterate innovative program management methodologies and frameworks.
Support Ongoing Strategy Development :
- Conduct market, industry, and competitive research to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop strategy materials and provide preparation and facilitation support for key meetings
Qualifications
Qualifications and competencies:
- University degree in commerce or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience related to strategic planning, program/project management, or management consulting, with retail industry experience highly preferred.
- Fluency in English and French (both oral and written).
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas and concepts into simple narratives and recommendations for senior executive leaders.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and cross-functional relationship-building skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to drive results independently and collaboratively as a team player.
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, self-starter, and results-driven.
