Altis is proud to partner with our client in the Utilities sector on their search for a skilled Project Manager specialized in Marketing and Communications. In this role, you'll take charge of creative projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively from start to finish.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the development, production, and distribution of marketing and corporate communications projects.
- Manage project requests, assist in creating communication plans, and recommend effective communication and media strategies.
- Directly oversee communication projects, including creating and managing detailed project plans and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Align project schedules with available resources and communicate project goals to the team.
- Review and manage drafts of creative content, ensuring proper routing and approvals.
- Work with media placement and advertising agencies to implement media plans, establish schedules, and manage budgets.
- Oversee the approval process for media buys and advertisement placements.
- Ensure timely delivery of creative assets and track advertising schedules and budget adherence.
- Source, negotiate with, and select suppliers and production vendors, and analyze quotations to provide cost estimates.
- Handle purchase requisitions, reconcile invoices, and monitor project budgets.
- Track project progress, identify risks, and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
- Document project phases, generate summary reports, and manage all production materials and documentation.
- Oversee proofreading, pre-press artwork inspections, and ensure final materials are delivered as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in marketing and communications, with a focus on managing creative projects.
- Minimum of three years of recent, relevant experience in project management within a marketing and communications context.
- Strong understanding of print production processes, including pre-press and printing technology, as well as digital and social media.
- Expertise in managing communications media (collateral, web, advertising) to achieve project goals.
- Experience collaborating with creative and media agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, meet deadlines, and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including strong proofreading abilities.
- Proficiency with computer systems, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and MS Office products.
- Familiarity with advanced digital project management tools.
Education
- Diploma in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
