Overview
We are partnering with a client to hire a Data Analyst II for their Data Enablement team for a special project (estimated 4 months). This team is responsible for creating scalable semantic models that democratize data access and understanding across the organization. They collaborate with product and engineering leaders, owning the data lifecycle from strategy and prototyping to implementation, executive dashboards, and product-level self-service support.
Contract Duration: 4+ Months
Hourly Rate: $36 - $40/hour
Location: Remote (must be located in the US or Canada)

Responsibilities
This role will leverage product telemetry, web analytics, and related datasets to uncover customer-centric insights. You will identify patterns, anomalies, and trends to inform product decisions. In a typical week, you'll explore new datasets, profile data, validate feature launch metrics, recommend new measurement opportunities, and present findings to leaders across product, engineering, and design teams.
- Analyze clickstream datasets to uncover customer journeys and paths
- Combine clickstream data with product telemetry to find gaps and overlaps
- Develop reusable data models in Snowflake, Tableau, or both to allow for ongoing analysis
- Educate and enlighten data stakeholders with newly available objects and models that will unlock product and business insights
- Deliver executive dashboards and product insights based on foundational productionalized data models
- Partner with other Business Data Analysts to create composite measures and insights that span the product unit
- Ensure that data privacy and governance is a first priority at all stages of the data lifecycle
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data management, data engineering, data analytics, product management or a similar background
- 3+ years of hands on experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc)
- 2+ years of SQL experience
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on profiling datasets for completeness, structure, and accuracy
- Ability to communicate findings to a wide range of audiences both technical and non-technical alike And extra credit if you have experience in any of the following!
- Third party web analytics tools (Heap, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
- Cloud based data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.)
- Data engineering (Python, dbt, Kafka, Parquet, Fivetran, Hightouch, etc.)
- Paywall, subscription or authentication based products
