ECOMMERCE MANAGER
The Ecommerce Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Lana Jewelry website, operating them effectively, optimizing user journeys, and aligning efforts with the technology, consultants, and marketing teams. The Ecommerce Manager will use these resources to ensure an optimized website for shoppers and to meet the brand aesthetic. The Ecommerce Manager will have strong commercial acumen, be data passionate, and have great attention to detail.
Product Information
• Product data management - ensure that all product data is on Lana Jewelry website sites including images, descriptions, product detail, and prices.
• Manage the overall critical path to get product information and photography on to the site on time and ensure all involved teams within the business are aware of deadlines.
• Ensure that all the technology and marketing work is done to maximize merchandising opportunities.
Stock
• Stock Availability – monitor stock holding and report weekly on the site cover and work collaboratively to plan and maintain a sufficient stock holding.
• Ensure inventory availability in advance of planned site launches, updates, marketing campaigns and promotional activity
• Coordinate and communicate pricing changes
Analysis
• Online sales budget control and forecasting – identify and report on trends in trading performance and develop sales forecasts for peak trading periods online
• Web Analytics – monitor and measure site performance, while using this to make recommendation and improve performance.
• Measure online conversion and identify tactics internally and with third parties to improve conversion rates.
• Provide weekly product status reports
• Report on product sales and think of tactics to improve sales
• Identify areas of underperformance and develop strategies to improve
• Monitor competitor and web sales trends to ensure web offer and experience is in line with customer expectations
Online Marketing
• Ensure that sales strategies are supported by the acquisition/marketing strategy for all trafficked channels - including SEO, PPC, working with 3rd party agencies
• Collaborate with consultants on optimizing the website customer experience / journey, feeding into decisions on content, functionality and layout across the site (e.g. homepage, navigation, PDP)
Coordinate with team members to upload content to the site
• Collaborate and coordinate for execution of email marketing strategy
Establish marketing calendar for ecommerce needs and strategy
Site Improvements
• Work with Consultants on identifying enhancements and issues.
• Manage site navigation, search, categories, filters and product placement by setting merchandising strategy alongside VP of Sales and Marketing.
Customer Service
- Ensure all customer service inquiries are being responded in a professional manner and timeframe by appropriate team members
- Review all aspects of customer service for ecommerce for best practice and effectiveness.
Operations
- Manage respective members of team to ensure all orders are shipped on time.
- Identify and implement opportunities for better ecommerce operations.
Content
- Ensure production of all necessary content for website and social media
- Identify content needs and strategy
- Manage all internal and external aspects of content creation
The main job responsibility of an e-commerce manager is supervising and managing the entire e-commerce department. Along with this, he or she also carries out various other job duties as follows:
- Ensuring all sales goals for ecommerce are met
- Identifying and evaluating new marketing opportunities to increase website traffic and online production
- Determining website format and interacting with the web developers to design or make changes accordingly
- Undertaking research to understand the demographic targets, search engine traffic, media buying, etc.
- Financial planning and preparation of budgets
- Supervising the e-commerce department and allocating tasks to staff
- Undertake interviewing processes and recruit the e-commerce analysts, marketing executives, etc.
- Demonstrating project strategies and plans to the higher members of team and company
- Work with external partners, freelancers, and agencies to develop new techniques, programs, software constantly needed to implement and run a successful luxury website
- Always being proactive of technology industry needs and trends and presenting them to stakeholders
The e-commerce manager must have expert analytical and organizational skills. He or she must also be skillful in following tasks:

QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years’ experience in luxury, or related field of E-COMMERCE, Technology, or Digital
BA or MBA
Microsoft Office Suites
Experience BIG COMMERCE, NETSUITE platforms
SEO
Photoshop
HTML5
Creative and technical knowledge of Homepage, PDP pages, product loads updates, email marketing platforms
Ability to work in a highly fast paced environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience with strategic planning, financial analysis, and project management
Ability to develop and manage cross-functional relationships across a team at all levels in the organization
Excellent problem-solving skills
Willingness to take initiative, work autonomously, and tackle complex situation
Interest in fashion and luxury e-Commerce, prior experience in fashion a plus
