We’re the Engineering department. We work with our product, sales, client success, business development, and other departments to get features to our clients that wow them, all while ensuring our engineering staff is engaged and growing.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
The Agile Coach is responsible for enhancing Agile maturity within teams by providing hands-on support and teaching best practices to cultivate an Agile mindset. This role includes supporting cross-functional teams and ensuring appropriate visibility to roadblocks. Simpli.fi’s Agile Coaches will embark on agile testing and learn to quickly capture value from high-impact, high-feasibility efforts, partnering with our product team to determine how to create engaging experiences.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Report to a director who supports 3-5 teams that you will be influencing
- Partner with the Product team to enable the team(s) to effectively deliver customer value
- Partner with Agile Coaches across engineering for larger Agile improvement efforts
- Facilitate one or more team’s ceremonies in a scrum master-type role
- Facilitate communication between teams during maintenance, operations, post-mortems, and outages
- Coach our value stream-aligned teams in Agile methodologies, as well as mentor and coach team-level talent
- Juggle and negotiate multiple stakeholder priorities, expectations, and opportunities that will sometimes be in conflict
- Work with multiple levels of individuals like our VP of Engineering, Value Stream Directors, and other leadership to pursue broad process improvements and cultural changes
- Coach individual contributors who have a career interest in agility
- Participate in our internal agile practice as a contributor, thought leader, and change agent
- Support training and development across the engineering department on a range of agility-related topics
- Demonstrate continual learning
- Maintain project status, risk, and reference documentation
IDEAL CANDIDATES HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- An agile certification (PSM, CSM, TKP, PMI-ACP, ICAgile, or similar) or demonstrated experience in the agile space/community
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in an agile delivery environment
- Adept in Jira, Confluence, and Google Workplace Suite, or similar tools
- Experience leading and coaching agile frameworks across multiple teams
- Experience leading agile projects of varying size and complexity
- Demonstrate high-level interpersonal skills with the team, your peers, and others you interact with which includes the wisdom, courage, and self-control to know when and how hard to rock the boat, when to build consensus, and when to be silent and listen
- You have accessible, persuasive, and concise written and verbal communication

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Simpli.fi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the base range is $130,000 to $140,000.
