We are seeking an experienced Healthcare IT Support Technician to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview
As an IT Support Technician at Metis Practice Solutions, your primary focus will be to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical assistance to healthcare professionals in private practices and within Metis Practice Solutions. You'll be integral in maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software, including practice management systems and Electronic Medical Records. By leveraging your technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills, you'll ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, directly contributing to the provision of high-quality healthcare services. Key Responsibilities
- Provide helpdesk support to healthcare professionals and administrative staff in private practices and Metis Practice Solutions
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner
- Maintain and administer end-user workstations, servers, and associated technologies
- Install, configure, and maintain healthcare-specific software
- Assist in the maintenance of network security protocols
- Generate and maintain documentation of procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides
- Participate in after-hours and weekends support for routine and/or emergency maintenance.
Ideal Candidate
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT support role, healthcare industry experience is a plus
- Familiarity with EMR software and other healthcare technologies, preferably EPIC
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Azure
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
