We seek a Paid Search Campaign Manager to join a retail digital media advertising client. In this role, you will oversee the execution, optimization, and successful delivery of revenue-driving campaigns secured by the sales team. This position requires a balance of strategic insight and hands-on expertise, as you will manage the planning and execution of campaigns while providing key strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong paid search background in online trafficking, campaign management, bid management platforms, and campaign optimization. With strong analytical and communication skills, you will establish best practices in client communication and optimization strategies to ensure the seamless execution and success of each campaign.
This is a project opportunity through the end of January 2025. The role is remote and in San Bruno, CA. We are only considering candidates in the Bay Area. No 1099, C2C, or third-party candidates will be considered.

Paid Search Campaign Manager Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, manage, and optimize managed service and self-service campaigns.
- Utilize upper-funnel (brand messaging, calls to action) and lower-funnel (direct response, conversion) tactics to drive results.
- Define key metrics and assess campaign success using internal analytics tools.
- Ensure diligence, attention to detail, and adherence to best practices throughout the entire campaign lifecycle—from pre-sale to post-sale.
- Maintain and organize campaign materials within the shared team repository.
- Lead daily campaign maintenance, answering internal queries related to tracking and campaign status.
- Provide strategic oversight for large accounts and manage key client relationships.
- Implement campaign tags across all ad technology platforms.
- Oversee the QA process to ensure accurate campaign setup, pacing, and performance.
- Formulate proposals for new client opportunities.
- Manage the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, and relevant campaign documents to prepare for launches.
- Collaborate with the Analytics team to generate reports and provide insights on campaign performance.
- Regularly share campaign insights with clients, including performance updates, optimization recommendations, and new opportunities.
- Work closely with media partners to ensure accurate platform integration.
- Troubleshoot issues for both pre-production and live campaigns.
- Prepare campaign wrap-up reports and provide monthly audit reports to partners.
- Attend client meetings as needed.
Digital Media Campaign Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
- 2+ years of experience in bid management, campaign management/optimization, or digital media operations.
- Client-facing experience with the ability to proactively identify and manage risks.
- Strong understanding of both traditional and interactive media planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong project management abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to guide partners on best practices and identify growth opportunities.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with SQL and Tableau is preferred.
