Job Overview
We are in search of a seasoned Oracle Project Manager who is eager to take on a leadership role in managing our Oracle database systems. This position provides a unique opportunity for an individual with substantial technical expertise and leadership capabilities to enhance the stability, performance, and security of our Oracle databases while implementing strategic advancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complex Oracle database environments and proactively enhance database performance.
- Collaborate effectively with offshore teams to facilitate seamless development and operational support.
- Lead initiatives to monitor, analyze, and report on Oracle database performance while proposing continuous improvements.
- Ensure compliance of Oracle platforms with internal processes and regulatory standards.
- Manage service-level agreements (SLAs) to meet key performance metrics, ensuring prompt and reliable service delivery.
- Guide incident management processes for Severity 1 and Severity 2 issues, taking a proactive role in escalation and resolution.
- Assess architectural modifications to ascertain they fulfill both current and future requirements.
- Stay informed on Oracle technologies and their future roadmaps, contributing to cloud strategy and identifying enhancement opportunities.
- Formulate and execute a strategic technical vision for Oracle platforms.
- Maintain and revise architectural documentation for new projects.
- Spearhead disaster recovery (DR) testing and develop new procedures as necessary.
- Collaborate with teams for managing Oracle licensing effectively.
Required Skills
- Proven track record in the design and deployment of multi-tiered technology solutions.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles and IT governance frameworks.
- Strong leadership acumen with experience in managing technology projects or small teams.
- Expertise in large-scale project management methodologies and techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including pivot tables.
- Outstanding communication abilities, capable of simplifying complex concepts and fostering team consensus.
- Self-motivated with a keen problem-solving orientation and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma with a minimum of 8 years of IT experience.
- At least 5 years of experience working with Oracle Database, Web Logic, Fusion Middleware, or a combination thereof.
- Proficiency with the Linux operating system and SQL.
- Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite is advantageous.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required (employment eligibility will be verified at the time of hire).
