About Team: Sam's Tech Member Desk engineering
The Sam's Tech Member Desk engineering team is responsible for building and managing applications and services running at the member services desk across all of US Sam's clubs. This includes apps to handle membership signups/renewals/upgrades, process returns and purchase of items at the member services desk.
Role Description
We're looking for a senior software engineer to implement new functionality and user experiences to support the Sam's Tech Member Desk applications. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in cross platform mobile application development such as React Native framework. Experience in Native iOS/Android or Kotlin Multiplatform is highly desirable.
What you'll do:
- You will translate product requirements into functional and testable code written in React Native framework.
- You will optimize code for performance and stability.
- You can communicate status and plans in clear and concise way, and able to think through risks and issue to find the best solution.
What you'll bring:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 7+ years of industry experience.
- 5+ years of mobile application development experience.
- Strong experience with Mobile Development; React Native strongly preferred, SWIFT/Kotlin or Kotlin Multiplatform.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structures, design patterns, commonly used algorithms, and analysis of algorithms.
- Capable of debugging complex problems, analyzing logs in production systems, quickly understanding, and developing upon existing code base.
- Working understanding of networking, request/response, and REST APIs.
- Handles multiple competing priorities in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CI/CD and testing automation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
