Growth opportunity for a Communications Writer available for an individual with a journalism background and at least 2 year of related experience in a corporate setting. This position supports a large Public Relations and Communications department of a global law firm and is focused on writing and editing awards nominations, surveys, thought leadership and directory submissions.. The role requires strong writing, research, and relationship-building skills, with specific tasks such as preparing submissions for recognition opportunities, coordinating client references, and working closely with publication editors.
This is a hybrid role located in Midtown Manhattan requiring 3 days per week in the office. The hours for this job are 9:30 to 6:00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Writing and editing awards and directory submissions.
- Researching and identifying recognition opportunities.
- Collaborating with publication editors and researchers.
- Preparing summaries of awards and ranking results.
- Gathering information for various firm surveys.
- Ensuring award-related narratives are maintained in the database.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of two years of related experience, preferably in a professional services, financial services or legal setting.
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to deal with confidential material using discretion.
