Lainey Melnick & Associates – Dream Vacations is seeking a full-time Virtual Assistant (up to 40 hours/week) to join our luxury travel agency. The Assistant will report to the General Manager and will support the entire agency in assorted ways as a valued member of the team.
The Assistant is responsible for supporting our agency at key moments in the post-sales process, ensuring that each client has an excellent experience. The Air Specialist role will take the lead on all tasks related to air travel, including working with clients to select seats, providing accurate client details to airlines, and monitoring air schedule changes as they affect other aspects of the itinerary. The right candidate is a motivated self-starter who can professionally interact with high-end, luxury clients. This person should be confident using technology to research and solve problems, have experience providing excellent customer service, and exercise good judgement in prioritizing and completing tasks. Finally, this person needs to be extraordinarily detail-oriented, organized, and meticulous in their work.
Key Responsibilities
· Accurate Data Entry of client details into database
· Client-facing communication about itinerary details
· Navigate multiple software platforms to locate or add travel information
· Organize information for group travel and complex itineraries
· Additional tasks as required
Job Requirements
· Resides in Texas
· Must have own computer and cell phone
· Previous experience in Customer Service or Retention role
· Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google Sheets, Airline Websites, and ability to learn new software platforms
Preferred Candidate Qualities
· Previous experience in the travel industry, or history of personal travel
· Flexible hours – Travel never sleeps!
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Team player willing to take on new challenges
· Proficient in social networking
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
