My client, a leading innovator in healthtech, is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic and talented team in developing cutting-edge healthcare technology platforms. This is a fully remote position offering a competitive salary range of $200,000 - $275,000, depending on experience. The tech stack is Python-based, and the successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping the future of healthcare technology.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and Mentor Engineering Teams: Guide a team of engineers, helping them to grow their skills while delivering high-quality solutions. You'll manage day-to-day operations, set goals, and foster collaboration within the team.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Oversee the development of complex healthcare technology platforms, ensuring code quality, scalability, and security, with a strong emphasis on Python-based solutions.
- Architect and Implement Solutions: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver innovative, patient-centered healthcare products, from APIs to microservices.
- Agile Leadership: Manage project timelines and ensure efficient delivery by implementing Agile best practices, sprint planning, and continuous integration.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other departments to ensure the technology meets business goals and provides value to users.
- Tech Stack Ownership: Ensure the stability and scalability of the core technology stack (Python, API development, AWS) and guide technical decision-making that aligns with business objectives.
- Innovation and Strategy: Lead initiatives to implement new technologies (AI/ML, data analytics) and stay on the cutting edge of healthtech trends.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in an engineering management or leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience in building scalable, backend systems (e.g., using Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop teams, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and innovation.
- Proven success in delivering complex projects in Agile environments, managing both product and engineering goals.
- A passion for healthcare technology and the desire to shape the future of how healthcare is delivered and experienced.
- Bonus: Experience with healthcare compliance (HIPAA, GDPR) and security standards.
