Our client, a Fortune 100 insurance company, is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive Design Project Coordinator/Manager to join their design team. This role is essential to our operations and will report directly to the Product Design Director.
You will leverage specialized knowledge in design processes and tools to manage and coordinate design-specific projects and various creative deliverables. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring creative assets align with project goals, requirements, and deadlines. You will develop and maintain detailed project plans and reports to track progress. Close collaboration with team members and producers will be key, as you serve as the main liaison for asset gathering, task coordination, and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management
- Develop and Maintain Project Plans: Create and update detailed project plans, including descriptions, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, identify deviations, and report them to the project lead.
- Milestone Tracking: Monitor task progress, track project milestones, and ensure adherence to plans.
- Manage Sprint UAT Log: Utilize tools to track and manage the Sprint UAT log.
Task Coordination and Team Collaboration
- Task Assignment and Tracking: Assess team members' workloads and monitor progress to ensure responsibilities and deadlines are clear.
- Liaison Role: Act as the primary contact between producers and the design team for gathering project assets, resolving roadblocks, and maintaining momentum.
- Ownership: Ensure tasks are completed thoroughly, demonstrating accountability and follow-through.
- Follow-up: Regularly check on task progress and provide support for timely completion.
Documentation and Reporting
- Documentation Management: Generate and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, meeting notes, and progress reports.
- Status Reporting: Produce daily updates, weekly summaries, and monthly achievement reports aligned with objectives.
Onboarding and Access Management
- Onboarding Coordination: Organize and schedule onboarding sessions and assist with access provisioning.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in design, graphic design, human-computer interaction, fine arts, or a related field.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 4 years of experience with content management systems.
- At least 2 years of digital design experience in UI or product design.
- Experience applying or working within design systems.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG and ADA.
- Experience in an agile/waterfall hybrid environment.
