Meyer Utility Structures is currently looking to hire a Sr. Quality Manager to join our corporate team located in Memphis, TN. Reporting directly to the Vice President – Quality, you will plan and manage the effective operation of the manufacturing quality function and ensure that quality objectives and goals are clearly established and deployed to continuously improve and meet the performance levels required both internally and externally.

What You'll Do:
- Serve as support for Vice President of Quality to include managing quality issues for Meyer Utility Structures (assessment, investigation, decision-making), resolving quality issues and internal and external communications
- Lead the manufacturing quality function to monitor, measure, analyze, and continually improve quality metrics as part of the quality management system
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; employee and process accountability; addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with the policies and applicable laws
- Identify and lead process improvement activities to reduce cost of poor-quality issues within the business unit
- Work with the Supplier Quality Engineer so vendors and suppliers adhere to Meyer Quality System processes and procedures
- Influence operations to ensure customer’s design criteria is properly understood and efficiently produced
- Work with the plant quality teams to complete investigations and resolve customer complaints using best practice problem solving methodologies
- Identify production quality risk and performance gaps
- Identify and develop process improvement projects, training plans, and quality alerts necessary to develop, coach, motivate, counsel employees regarding quality functions, tools, and philosophies for all production and shipping processes
- Use Lean tools and analytical methods to achieve effective root cause analysis, problem solving, and sustainable corrective action
- Plan, prepare, conduct, and present internal quality audits, improvements, and reports
- Prepare, plan and attend third-party audits as needed
- Increase quality competencies by providing leadership and training to the manufacturing teams on quality tools and systems
- Lead trial runs on new product line releases
- Perform other duties as requested
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably within an engineering discipline
- Certified Welding Inspector preferred
- 10+ years of Quality experience in industrial metal fabrication, multi plant experience a plus.
- Demonstrated growth of responsibility within the production and manufacturing space with management experience
- Experience with AISC/ISO93 and quality systems
- Level II inspection experience in UT, MT preferred
- Direct experience in team facilitation and group leadership
- Knowledge of welding procedures and qualifications
- Experience in key performance indicator management and developing leading indicators
- Strong Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills
- Must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills; ability to work with others efficiently and effectively both one-on-one and as a part of a team/group
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with Quality Disciplines:
- Hands on manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of quality systems
- Root cause analysis and corrective action
- Ability to write procedures and standards
- Must be able to travel up to 75% in the US and Mexico
