Reporting to the PMO lead, the Junior PM provides project support and coordinates the day-to-day tasks of various projects within the strategy and project team's portfolio of projects. Their focus will be to actively participate in the success of our new products roll-out by ensuring they’re fully delivered on time and continuously improved.
- Project/Product Management:
- Align the project/project with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
- Work with the Sales team and other product managers to ensure the year’s product roadmap is under control.
- Create a detailed project plan outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. Ensure that business and technical requirements are defined to meet the roadmap.
- Organize, animate and summarize key ideation workshops with business analysts, experts and participate in the agile comitology. Collaborate with design teams to carry out user testing.
- Optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel, technology, and finances, to meet project objectives.
- Plan, schedule and maintain tasks within your products backlogs to deliver maximum value to customers while adhering to corporate strategy.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate with cross-functional areas, share product plans, identify potential issues or concerns and collaborate to resolve them.
- Clarify project goals, give status updates, and key milestones to stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project status, milestones achieved, and upcoming activities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues that may impact the project.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on the status of risk mitigation efforts.
- Evaluation and Reporting:
- Evaluate project performance against goals and objectives.
- Prepare and present regular reports to leadership and stakeholders.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Between three (3) to five (5) years of experience in project management or coordination with a focus on overseeing large, complex projects and managing project portfolios.
- Previous experience in transport, logistics operations or supply chain management is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Skills: communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to summarize complex and multidisciplinary data into comprehensive executive reporting. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge: understanding of project management principles, practices, and frameworks. Some experience in product management is a plus.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess situations, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Linguistic: Communicate Effectively in French and English
Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)
- Project Management tools (Planner, Monday, JIRA, etc.)
- Diagramming Software (Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, etc.) a plus.
