Location: Fully Remote (in approved states)
Experience Level: Intermediate
Employment Type: 3 month contract to hire (permanent)
Salary: $18 per hour
Hours: M-F between 8am-6pm EST
A Day In The Role
- Responsible for all aspects of follow up and collections, including making outbound telephone calls, accessing payor websites, and verifying adjudication.
- Review the account information and necessary system applications to determine the next appropriate work activity, identify issues and provide suggestions for resolution.
- Accurately and thoroughly documents the pertinent collection activity performed.
- Initiate telephone or letter contact to patients to obtain additional information as needed.
- Coordinates with internal departments to resolve ongoing issues.
- Respond timely to emails and telephone messages as appropriate. Communicate issues to management, including payer, system or escalated account issues.
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual performance evaluation process with their Supervisor.
- Ability to perform all other duties as assigned or requested
- Responsible for all aspects of insurance follow up and collection activity
