Overview
As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting data to drive strategic business decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address business needs, conduct thorough analysis, and provide actionable insights to support organizational growth. Your contributions will significantly impact the company's performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Evaluate and define business requirements, processes, and objectives
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Conduct thorough data analysis to support and improve business operations
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to understand their needs
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends
- Create visualizations and reports to support findings and communicate insights effectively
- Contribute to the design and development of business processes and workflows
- Assist in the implementation and support of business intelligence tools
- Support project management and ensure delivery of solutions that meet business needs
- Assist in the testing of new solution implementations to ensure they meet requirements
- Identify and troubleshoot data-related problems
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and latest trends in business analysis
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Utility and/or Consumer Energy
- Proven experience in data analysis and interpretation
- Proficiency in SQL and database management
- Strong understanding of project management principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Experience with business intelligence tools and techniques
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Solid understanding of business processes and workflows
- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends
- Certification in Business Analysis or related field is a plus
