A Day in the Life
Cranial and Spinal Technologies (CST) is redefining cranial and spinal procedures to reduce variability and improve outcomes with the goal of restoring long-term quality of life for more patients. We are the first company to offer an integrated solution that includes artificial intelligence-driven surgical planning, personalized spinal implants, and robotic-assisted surgical delivery to make patient care more customized. This remote role will join the Aible Clinic Consulting team within our Enabling Technologies unit and will collaborate cross-functionally across the neuroscience portfolio. Primary responsibilities will include reviewing, documenting, and managing customer requirements for our Gaiteway platform, including data use and protection specifications as well as other security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. A day in the life may include review of product-specific customer agreements, implementation and management of a database for customer requirements, and internal and external meetings to communicate customer and product-specific needs.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Reviews, documents, and provides guidance on customer inquiries and contracts with a focus on platform security, data governance and compliance, and account configuration.
- Provide technical support for customer meetings to define, clarify, and negotiate platform-specific capabilities and needs.
- Design, implement, and manage a secure database for documentation of customer requirements that meets industry best practices and standards.
- Utilize cybersecurity best practices to develop strategies for information assurance during design, manufacturing, and implementation processes.
- Consults with sales, contracting, R&D, marketing, and other internal stakeholders on platform-specific customer engagement strategies to enable global sales and product development.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations and the impact of such for IAM system and data use rights.
- Understanding of Identity, Lifecycle and Governance capabilities, intersection with other cyber security domains, products and industry practices.
- Contributes to defining the direction for new products, processes, standards, or operational plans based on business strategy with a significant impact on work group results.
- May manage large projects or processes that span outside of immediate job area and require significant cross-functional collaboration.
- Willing and able to travel up to 10%.
Must Have – Minimum Qualifications:

- 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree or 12+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity and experience with cloud-based medical devices and products, large capital systems, and smart implants.
- Familiarity with development on AWS, Agile methodology, and version control.
- Familiarity with healthcare connectivity and interoperability practices and standards.
- Knowledge and working familiarity with security and privacy frameworks including but not limited to ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2, NIST 800-53, HITRUST, HIPAA, EUMDR.
- Working familiarity with Azure DevOps, Salesforce, ProcessBolt, CyberArk, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with cranial and spinal procedures, products, technologies, and solutions.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$125,600.00 - $188,400.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
