Principal Enterprise Architect
What does a successful Principal Enterprise Architect do at Fiserv?
In this role you will design and develop IT architecture while creating and maintaining the overall architecture for IT platforms, ensuring they align with business goals and technology strategies. You will oversee the integration of various platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability and communication between systems.
What You Will Do
- Assess and recommend new technologies and tools that can enhance platform performance and scalability
- Ensure that all platform solutions comply with security standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor and optimize the performance of IT platforms to ensure they meet the required service levels
- Work closely with other IT teams, including developers, network engineers, and security professionals, to ensure cohesive platform development and deployment
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the platform architecture, including design specifications, integration points, and operational procedures
- Provide high-level support for platform-related issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing solutions
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align platform engineering efforts with long-term business objectives
- Mentor junior architects and engineers, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and knowledge
What You Will Need To Have
- 10+ years of Infrastructure/system engineering experience in heterogeneous environments
- 6+ years of relevant work experience designing and building enterprise class distributed systems
- 6+ years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry or other highly regulated industries
- 6+ years of indirect or direct technical leadership
- 5+ years of experience leading the technical design of high transaction volume distributed systems or other complex projects
- 1+ years of experience working on Fiserv platforms
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, military, and/or work experience
What Would Be Great To Have
- Recent experience working in a strong-matrix organization with project teams and multiple lines of reporting and accountability
- Experience leading and communicating with highly technical engineers and senior leadership
- Experience effectively managing multiple technology projects simultaneously
- Ability to move projects forward, prioritize tasks and resolve project issues with minimum supervision
