LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a full-time Field Application Engineer to work remotely out of the Bay Area. Collaborating with Sales, Product Development, and the Marketing Team, the Field Application Engineer will identify new customer targets and markets. They will engage with Engineering, Quality, Project Management, and Customer Service teams to relay customer requirements, track open action items, offer initial support for quality issues, and provide on-site technical assistance as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate strong personal connections and rapport with influential design contacts within designated accounts.
- Collaborate with Field Sales to devise and execute strategies aimed at enhancing business growth.
- Advocate for products and guide customers in selecting suitable components for their applications, or crafting tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Conceptualize component designs or value-added assemblies, utilizing computer-generated models when necessary, and relay them to Engineering for formalization.
- Assist in investigating potential engineering or quality issues that may emerge.
- Provide prototype samples as requested.
- Manage expenses effectively in line with performance objectives.
- Offer insights on market dynamics and emerging trends.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in design of electro/mechanical
- 5 years in sales/application engineering for electronic OEM
- 5 years in a client facing role supporting a sales team
- Able to travel up to ~40% - both domestic and international
- Must sit in the Bay Area or willing to relocate to the area to support local customers
Education:
- Bachelors in electrical or mechanical. Master’s is Preferred.
Compensation/Benefits: $140,000-165,000 + 15% Bonus
