About the Project:
The Surrey Langley SkyTrain project will extend the Expo Line 16 kilometers, primarily along Fraser Highway from King George Station in Surrey to 203 Street in the City of Langley. It will improve regional transportation connections and provide fast, frequent and reliable transit service, especially for those who live, work, study and play South of the Fraser River. The project includes eight new stations and three new transit exchanges. Once complete, the travel time from Langley City Centre to King George SkyTrain Station will be about 22 minutes.

The position will play a crucial role in supporting the integration process of the design and construction components on the Surrey Langley SkyTrain Expansion Project. It requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with multiple project contractors, stakeholders and interfaces. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Manager, Engineering Interface, and work closely with other project team members to facilitate effective communication and coordination among different project disciplines with the Project Contractors.

Key Accountabilities:
- Performs project management coordination through monitoring project deliverables and reporting out on project progress as it relates to, but is not limited to, scope, time, costs, risks, quality, engagement, and integration with other projects.
- Reviews and comments on project deliverables and reports.
- Prepares a variety of documents and materials such as presentation materials, graphs, flow charts, tables, reports, briefing notes, correspondence, and spreadsheets, using desktop tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Identifies, documents, and manages interface requirements and dependencies between various project components.
- Develops and maintains interface management workflows and ensures adherence to these plans throughout the project lifecycle.
- Tracks and reports interface issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions are implemented.
- Prepares and maintains comprehensive interface documentation, including interface requirements registers, interface control documents, meeting minutes, etc.
- Provides regular updates to the supervisors and project leadership on the status of interface activities and issues.
- Ensures all interface documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensures interface activities comply with project standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance interface management practices.
- Fosters a collaborative and proactive approach to interface management within the project team.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in engineering, business administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience; preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle the demands of a fast-paced project with deadline pressures.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience and proficiency working with the MS Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Teams, and SharePoint.
