About the Role:
The Sales Operations Manager will support the Director of Sales Operations and the broader sales team in streamlining and documenting sales processes, analyzing sales data, reporting on key sales metrics, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This person will assist with administering and developing SOLARCYCLE's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other software systems to provide the sales team with the tools they need to win deals and hand them off to the Operations team for smooth execution. This person will cross-functionally collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and IT.
The ideal candidate will be an analytical and process-oriented professional with at least 5 years of sales operations experience in the solar industry, excellent attention to detail, and a strong desire to be of service to others, support the clean energy transition, and develop their leadership skills in sales and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead continuous improvement and documentation of sales processes (e.g., quoting and project handoffs from Sales to Operations) to increase deal velocity, improve efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
- Support maintenance of SOLARCYCLE's CRM (HubSpot) and continuous expansion of its capabilities.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Generate and present sales reports to upper management. Improve the systems and processes used to create such reports.
- Support onboarding of new customers.
- Support organization of the Commercial department's file sharing systems
- Support the integration of SOLARCYCLE's CRM with other key software systems in collaboration with IT.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and implement targeted campaigns and generate new leads.
- Support preparation for conferences and other event planning.
- Support the development and implementation of revenue growth strategies.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Education, Training and Professional Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, information systems, economics, project management, or similar is preferred.
- 5-10 years of professional sales operations, sales, marketing, customer success, consulting, or similar experience.
- Expert proficiency with CRMs (ideally HubSpot)
- Strong analytical skills and experience performing data analysis in Excel, Power BI, and/or similar software tools.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Passion for the transition to clean energy and a more circular economy
- Familiarity with APIs is preferred.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) is preferred.
