Hiring a Senior Unity Engineer for our Client who is building a genre-redefining game! If you have 8+ yrs software eng experience (design + system architecture), 5+ years working with Unity 3D, and experience building games from prototype to launch, please reach out! Remote but Pacific hours preferred.
Qualifications
- B.S. (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in live service mobile games
- 5+ years of experience with Unity 3D game development
- Strong sense of initiative and ownership. History of startup experience.
- Experience building a game from prototype to launching and shipping the game with Unity
- Strong foundations in system architecture, software design, and production software development best practices
- Excellent understanding of Unity 3D game and tools development, including live service tooling and management
- Broad knowledge of available Unity plugins and assets that can be used for development of the game
- A "can do" attitude and willingness to handle various tasks, ranging from designing and building large mission-critical systems to minor UI updates and bug fixes.

- Automotive knowledge and experience
- Experience with app development for both desktop and mobile platforms
Initiatives
- Collaborate with a small but highly capable technical team to design and implement a new Unity 3D game project, from early stage to full production launch
- Partner closely with design, art, production, engineering teams to identify focus areas and provide effective solutions for the appropriate phase of development
- Iterate on and enforce processes, pipelines, and best practices for game development
- Perform code and architecture reviews
- Identify opportunities to incorporate new technologies and techniques to maximize workflow efficiencies and to provide effective, maintainable, and secure games and related applications
- Build clean and performant UI/UX for 2D and 3D environments
