Position Summary:
In this role, you will provide key support in financial analysis and reporting, as well as develop financial models to drive corporate finance activities. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior management, contribute to strategic financial initiatives, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform year-end and quarter-end financial analysis.
- Compile monthly performance and corporate costs reports for management review.
- Assist in preparing financial information for the MD&A (Management Discussion and Analysis) and other supplementary reports.
- Prepare quarterly cash flow statements and materials for board presentations.
- Collect, organize, and present data for strategic analyses.
- Build financial models and templates for valuing organic projects and supporting corporate finance activities.
- Assist the operational accounting team with internal reporting tools and issue resolution.
- Collect and analyze PLC estimates from various research sources.
- Support the filing of TSX regulatory forms and Statistics Canada surveys.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent skills in financial management and performance analysis.
- Highly ethical, with strong personal effectiveness and credibility.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in teams.
- Exceptional time management and ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or corporate finance.
- University or college degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with accounting and financial software.
- Ability to analyze data, provide insights, and offer recommendations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
