Duration: 6 month contract

Location: Open to remote

Pay Range: $60.00 - $70.00/hr based on experience

Job description:

Responsible for helping manage strategic and tactical internal communications for the Worldwide Grocery Stores business, including communications to field employees in our physical stores, fulfillment centers, and distribution centers, and corporate employees.
From creating employee-facing communications about critical policies and changes to identifying positive storytelling opportunities, you will be a key partner to project teams and leaders within the business.
The ideal candidate must be a team player, able to act independently, have exemplary writing skills, a proactive work ethic, and a talent for developing creative approaches to difficult communications challenges, with experience in change management communications.
Develop strategic and innovative internal communication plans. Write, review, and manage business-specific email communications, updates, change announcements, leadership messaging, and ad hoc communications.
Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with an ability to look around corners for risk.
Responsible for the coordination and completion of communication projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project with cross-functional teams.
May require a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the Communications field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

Experience in internal communications with a preference for operations or frontline communications knowledge
Experience with a national or global company
Experience executing highly successful, creative, and complex communications plans
Experience working with and influencing a broad cross-functional stakeholder group
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in change management or issues management
Ability to exercise high judgment, particularly in narrow time-frames and when dealing with ambiguity
External communications is okay but preferred quality is internal communications specifically

Degree or Certification:

Degree in communication or public relations is preferred (and or related experience)
5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
