Job Description
This role leads two scrum teams to achieve delivery goals by facilitating agile practices and coordinating with non-scrum teams. The individual manages project schedules and budgets, conducts Scrum ceremonies, and fosters self-organization within teams while coaching them in agile principles. Additionally, the position involves collaborating with internal clients and external vendors to define solutions and remove impediments to ensure smooth project execution.
Responsibilities
- Leads two scrum teams; facilitates progress towards delivery goals using agile practices and coordinates information with other non-scrum teams involved in the work effort(s)
- Works independently as a leader on the team and brings forth opportunities for improvement; identifies dependencies and removes impediments to scrum team s progress
- Facilitates Scrum ceremonies with assigned teams, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Demo, Retrospective and Backlog Refinement
- Manages and coordinates releases across external vendor and internal teams
- Manages budget and schedules for assigned efforts, including timesheets, team rosters and other administrative support needs
- Facilitates collaborative sessions with internal clients and external vendors to define solutions and acceptance criteria for prioritized business needs
- Fosters self-organization within assigned scrum team(s); ensures and supports empowerment of the team; reports on team agile metrics such as velocity, persistency and cycle time
- Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Coaches their scrum team(s) to support agile adoption and application of principles
- Coordinates and collaborates with external vendors, continuing to promote agile practices
