We operate in a $25 billion market, and our goal is to revolutionize how CMOs make data-driven decisions to stay ahead of competitors. Led by Chris Dessi, a seven-time author, keynote speaker, and AI thought leader, Torque AI is building the next generation of marketing automation tools that leverage the power of artificial intelligence.
We’re in the early stages of product development, preparing to launch our MVP in Q4 2024. We already have traction, including strong interest from key brands, and Chris’s established network of over 10,000 subscribers and consistent webinar attendees. We're also gearing up for a major showcase at the AI Summit in NY produced by Dessi Ventures, LLC in May.
We are now looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join the founding team and lead the technical vision of Torque AI.
Job Overview:
As our CTO, you will be responsible for driving the technical direction, building out the AI-driven platform, and leading the development team. You’ll work closely with the CEO to align technology with our business goals, ensuring that Torque AI stays at the forefront of AI and machine learning advancements. While this is an equity-only position at the outset, it’s an opportunity to build a product from the ground up and own a significant share in what could be a game-changing company in the AI marketing space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Vision & Strategy:
- Define and execute the overall technical strategy for Torque AI, ensuring the platform is scalable, secure, and innovative.
- Make strategic decisions on technology, architecture, and infrastructure to support the product's long-term goals.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in AI, machine learning, and marketing automation to ensure Torque AI remains competitive.
- Product Development:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Torque AI’s MVP, with a strong focus on AI-driven competitive insights and automation.
- Build and oversee a small team of developers, engineers, and data scientists (outsourced or internal), ensuring that timelines are met and quality is maintained.
- Take a hands-on approach to building the initial product and setting up key integrations (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Salesforce).
- AI/ML Development:
- Lead the development and refinement of AI models and algorithms that provide real-time competitor insights and actionable recommendations to CMOs.
- Ensure AI solutions are user-friendly, effective, and meet the needs of non-technical marketing executives.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the CEO to align product development with business objectives and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to understand user feedback and iterate on the product based on market needs.
- Infrastructure & Security:
- Build a scalable, secure platform that can handle anonymized data integration and real-time processing.
- Oversee the technical infrastructure to ensure the platform is robust, reliable, and capable of supporting rapid growth.
- Fundraising Support:
- Collaborate with the CEO in technical discussions with potential investors.
- Prepare technical roadmaps and pitch decks to support Series A fundraising efforts.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven Technical Expertise:
- Strong background in AI, machine learning, and data analytics, ideally with experience in developing SaaS or AI-powered platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and other relevant AI/ML technologies.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and scalable platform architecture.
- Leadership & Vision:
- Experience leading engineering or product development teams, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Ability to make strategic technical decisions that align with business goals.
- Hands-On Development:
- Ability to roll up your sleeves and contribute to coding, troubleshooting, and optimizing the product during the early stages.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs, such as Google Analytics or marketing platforms like Salesforce and HubSpot, is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit:
- Comfortable working in a startup environment with limited resources and a high degree of uncertainty.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-stakes setting.
- Strong Communication Skills:
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical team members, investors, and stakeholders.
- Comfortable representing the technical side of the business to potential investors during fundraising discussions.
