We are seeking a highly motivated and detail – oriented individual to join our dynamic team as an entry level payroll administrator. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll for our employees.
Essential Duties And Responsabilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other related duties may be required and assigned. This position will report to the Payroll Manager.
- Data Entry: Accurately input employee information, including hours worked, deductions, and benefits into our payroll system UKG.
- Payroll processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of bi-weekly and weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Learning and development: Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on payroll best practices and regulatory changes.
- Employee inquires: Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute various payroll reports as needed.
- Responsible for applying and understanding the Union Contract.
- Print termination checks and distribute to HR.
- Maintains accurate filing system for all data, source documents, timesheets, benefit reports and employee deductions.
- Ensures all timecards and PTO requests have been approved by supervisors.
Knowledge/Skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of full cycle payroll and auditing.
- Basic understanding of payroll principles and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, payroll systems and database software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Payroll administration or a related field
- Knowledge of payroll software UKG
- Experience with a CBA

Education And Experience
- High school diploma with 1-2 years of payroll experience
Physical/Safety Requirements
- Ambient noise and must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to work and stay focused with interruptions.
