Position Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Jr. Project Manager to join our commercial construction team. The primary objective of this position is to assist the Project Manager in managing and coordinating construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with building codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and overseeing construction projects from start to finish
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with building codes and regulations
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
- Manage project budgets, track expenses and report on project progress
- Monitor project schedules and provide regular updates to the Project Manager
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients
- Organize and maintain project files, documents, and records
- Train and supervise project team members as needed
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in Project Management/Coordination, preferably in the commercial construction industry
- Proven experience in building codes and regulations
- Experience in budget management and cost control
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Experience in training and supervising team members
