Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a skilled and innovative Senior Structural Engineer & Project Manager to become an integral part of our progressive structural engineering firm. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the structural engineering team, managing their drafting and engineering tasks under the guidance of the Engineer of Record.
- Act as the primary liaison for project coordination, facilitating collaboration within the structural team and with external disciplines, including architecture and MEP.
- Direct projects throughout the Construction Administration Phase, including the review of shop drawings, RFIs, and conducting site visits as needed.
- Author and uphold structural specifications, select construction procedures, determine material types, and perform all requisite calculations to ensure effective design.
- Engage in coordination meetings with various stakeholders to discuss project scope and structural design methodology.
- Provide detailed site observations during construction phases and prepare comprehensive reports based on these evaluations.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural focus; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Valid Structural Engineering license (S.E.) in your state of residence, as applicable.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive structural engineering experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have at least 3 years of leadership experience in multi-discipline project teams.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant state building codes and design standards, including ASCE, AISC, ACI, MSJC, and NDS.
- Proficient in structural engineering software and tools such as ETABS, SAFE, RISA, RAM, ENERCALC, Excel, and Bluebeam.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and documentation.

- Must possess a solid understanding of various structural materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
