MLP Plumbing & Mechanical, Inc. is looking for someone to join our project management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager planning, coordinating, and implementing large scale commercial HVAC & Plumbing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. Salary DOE.
About the Position:
The primary tasks of this position will focus on supporting the Project Managers with material procurement, subcontractor management, and performing project closeout duties. This individual will also have a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
Responsibilities to Assist PM with:
- Set project timelines and work with subcontractors and vendors to meet them.
- Proper pre-planning for all aspects of the project including ordering major equipment and engaging subcontractors.
- Monitor project deliverables and adjust as project progresses.
- Review drawings and specs to gain a full understanding of the project scope.
- Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress.
- Monitor on-site construction activities.
- Provide periodic updates to project schedule.
- Generate project closeout documents.
- Liaising with project managers to ensure completion of key paperwork.
- Coordinating and administering meetings, including issuing of minutes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to learn this business & work in a team setting.
- Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong communication skills.
- Solid organization and time-management skills
- Experience with Procore construction management software is a plus.
- Experience in commercial construction, HVAC or Plumbing work a plus
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering or Architecture preferred.
