Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage database architecture, ensuring robust integration, data modeling, and security measures are in place.
- Optimize database performance, overseeing capacity and availability, including implementation of data recovery processes and software updates.
- Identify and resolve performance issues while enhancing SQL statements for optimal efficiency.
- Collaborate with diverse client groups to deliver strategic data solutions and provide insights into data analysis methodologies.
- Formulate and execute complex data transformation strategies for business intelligence and lead data mapping projects.
- Maintain comprehensive database support documentation, mentor junior team members, and work alongside external consultants and DBA teams.
- Resolve technical challenges across various technologies to develop customer-centric technology solutions.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with DB2 for z/OS v12, Connect, HADR, and Automatic Storage.
- Proficient in JCL, COBOL, CICS, VSAM, and VLDB databases including partitioning.
- Experience in DB2 Data Replication and possessing DB2 Certification is advantageous. Familiarity with disaster recovery planning is also beneficial.
- Capability to ensure 24⁄7 database accessibility and performance, including on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in database administration and data management.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
