Job Title: Business Data Analyst
Location: San Jose, CA 95125 (Hybrid- 3 days/ week in office)
Duration: 3 months (possible extension)

Looking for-
- Someone who has experience with SQL (very imp), Tableau, Python (hands-on) + strong data analysis skills + need to come with some Business Acumen
- Who can drive cohort studies and drive analyses to understand customer behavior and find opportunities for improving our product(s)- IMP
- Pull the data, doing the full analysis, and discover the insights
- Major of the data come from google- there is too much of traffic that is coming in, so pull the data and do the funnel analysis (SEO exp. or knowledge is good to have- this will be a bonus)
- If someone has data optimization experience in the past that would be great but not mandatory as it will be a little tough to find
- Someone who can work in fast-paced environment- do the deep dive into the data and do the reports
- A/B testing- any previous experience would work as the team is not into testing, but this role needs someone who knows the A/B testing foundations (experience/ knowledge is fine)
Description
Performs complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing management or customer requests. Develops programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data. Uses and supports database applications and analytical tools. Evaluates data quality, applications, and functions. Produces output and maintains operation. Researches new data sources and analytical tools. Contributes to new product development and improvement in product delivery and presentation. Develops awareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting organization, department, and/or customer. Uses timely and appropriate participation of users/customers in data collection and query systems.: provides accurate and appropriate interpretation of data, applying knowledge to evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of data. Develops appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products. Develops useful and insightful information from a variety of data sources. Works with management and/or customers to develop and understand product specifications. Communicates regularly and effectively with team members and management and communicates results effectively to management and/or customers. Delivers data products in report/presentation format, or verbally, to management and/or customer specifications and timelines. Points out system or process problems when noticed and engages the team in problem solving. Facilitates satisfactory communication and resolution of problems.
We are looking for an experienced data analyst to join the buyer taxonomy and site navigation team to assess the opportunity and measure the impact of projects related to changing the browse navigation experience on company. Your focus will be supporting various product launches to measure the impact on customer behavior and SEO (search engine optimization). In addition to robust statistical knowledge, it is vital to have strong intellectual curiosity, and a passion for achieving practical business impact. Skills in quantitative analysis, problem definition, and an attention to detail are required.
