Role Overview: As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will collaborate directly with our Director of Engineering and our front-end team to develop robust backend services for our mobile platforms. You’ll lead backend development, optimize our server-side applications, and play a crucial role in our technology strategy. This is a perfect role for someone aspiring to demonstrate leadership in a growing startup environment.

What You’ll Do:

Develop and maintain high-performance backend applications & services.
Collaborate with product management and front-end developers implement scalable features.
Continuously improve our backend architecture and integrate cutting-edge technologies.
Create comprehensive technical documentation

What You Need:

Knowledge in backend technologies with extensive experience in Typescript, NodeJS, NestJS, Express and Firebase.
Solid knowledge of MongoDB and PostgreSQL
Proficiency in managing server-side logic and database architectures.
Experience in building and deploying scalable and efficient backend services.
Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to high-quality engineering practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with GraphQL, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, Hasura, and Knex.js.
Experience working with Github actions and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in a startup environment and adaptable to evolving project demands.
Passion for using technology to foster community and enhance personal connections.
