The Marketing and Events Program Manager will provide event planning, marketing, digital creations and programming support to the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce. The Manager will organize, staff, and manage events, marketing, and programs with various staff, members, and volunteers. The Manager will perform work as needed to support existing and new events and programs as they develop.

Duties:
- Under the supervision of the CEO, the Manager will manage logistics for events including budget development, location and host identification, invoice management, agenda development, invitation out-reach, follow-up, attendance and day-of check-in, meeting facilitation;
- Develop and create digital campaigns and videos for members and events;
- Manage the development of invite lists, specific contacts and sponsors;
- Manage ChamberMaster registration and account for events;
- Prepare marketing and presentation materials for use by staff and the CEO;
- Provide support for strategic ideation and planning to build future programs/projects;
- Design and create marketing and PR-related materials, copy, metrics, and images for use on the website and social media;
- Manage website updates for events;
- Track and report on engagement metrics; prepare media kits and press releases
- Create innovative and fresh branded materials for all social and internal posts and communication utilizing the branding assets currenting in place;
- Create new videos, new outreach efforts, new membership promos as needed;
- Additional duties performed as needed to accomplish departmental goals.

Education/Experience: Associate degree from a community college or bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university preferred; and three years related experience
Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from members, city leaders, and the general public.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Constant Contact, Excel, E-mail, and PowerPoint.
Transportation: Must have access to reliable transportation to attend events and meetings/
Work Environment:
The Chamber is fully in-office in Santa Monica with work at home on Fridays. The Manager will be required to coordinate and attend day, evening and weekend events in Santa Monica. This is a part-time at will employee position and requires the Manager to live in Santa Monica or West LA.
