Job Overview:

The Commercial Construction Superintendent is responsible for the on-site management and execution of commercial construction projects. This role involves coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure all project milestones are met according to the project schedule, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

Manage the day-to-day operations on the construction site.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors and site workers.
Ensure the project is progressing according to the established timeline.

Quality Control:

Inspect work for adherence to plans, specifications, and standards.
Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in construction.
Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality standards.

Safety Management:

Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site.
Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
Ensure compliance with all OSHA and local safety regulations.

Schedule Management:

Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule.
Monitor progress and adjust schedules as necessary.
Coordinate with the project manager to ensure alignment with overall project goals.

Budget Management:

Assist in monitoring project costs to ensure they align with the budget.
Approve material orders and deliveries.
Identify potential cost savings without compromising quality.

Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
Provide regular updates to the project manager and other stakeholders.
Address any concerns or issues that arise during construction.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate daily logs and reports.
Document any changes to the project scope or schedule.
Ensure all necessary permits and inspections are completed.

Problem Solving:

Identify and address any issues that could impact the project timeline or quality.
Resolve conflicts between subcontractors and site workers.
Make decisions on the fly to keep the project moving forward.

Salary Range up to $140K
