They operate within a Portfolio and Product-driven culture and seek an experienced UX researcher to lead research efforts for product portfolios.
- This role involves working with a diverse UX team that oversees the design and user experience for both customer and employee-facing applications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, influencing design decisions by taking ownership of research projects from the discovery phase to development.

- You'll contribute to building the infrastructure for the UX research function and will help grow its capabilities. You’ll also stay updated on new technologies, standards, and research techniques.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand business challenges while championing the user experience.
- Develop research strategies aimed at meeting product portfolio goals and key objectives.
- Implement and conduct both quantitative and qualitative UX research methods such as heuristic evaluations, surveys, usability testing, competitive analysis, and user interviews to assess the usability and effectiveness of designs and concepts.
- Present research findings and actionable insights effectively to various levels within the organization.
- Utilize data analytics tools (such as Adobe Analytics or Quantum Metric) to gather insights that will enhance the understanding of user experiences.
- Own and update customer journey maps and service blueprints, helping teams understand user pain points and fostering a customer-centric mindset.
- Operate in an agile, self-directed work environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and guide product performance using UX metrics.
- Help scale UX research by developing internal infrastructure, mentoring others, and supporting research operations.
- Oversee research tools and hardware, including eye-tracking devices, and manage participant recruitment processes.
Minimum qualifications and experience required:
- A degree in a related field such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Visual Design, Behavioral Sciences, or Psychology.
- At least five years of experience in applied UX research in large or matrixed organizations.
- Strong expertise in user-centered design, qualitative and quantitative research methods, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in remote testing platforms (e.g., UserZoom, UserTesting) and familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and roles.
- Project management abilities to define strategy, set objectives, and deliver results on time.
- Skilled in using modern analytics and reporting tools (such as Adobe Analytics).
- Demonstrated ability to explain research findings clearly to stakeholders using best practices and data.
Preferred qualifications:
- A graduate degree in a related field.
- More than seven years of experience in UX research within a product-based environment.
- Background in the aviation industry or working with unionized workforces.
- Experience with scaling research practices and creating repositories for insights.
- Familiarity with AI and its application to UX research.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to structure flows and wireframes for complex applications.
