Job Description:
As a senior Tester, you will be a key member of a team responsible for planning, constructing, and executing various types of tests including product, system, unit, load, and network tests. You will manage the testing process and ensure integration with the release control process, contributing to the overall quality and reliability of the system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create testing standards and models for the Application Development department to follow.
- Plan, construct, and execute test cases, including product and release control tests.
- Develop time estimates and schedules for testing efforts, ensuring timely delivery.
- Communicate accurate status updates and resolve testing-related issues.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment and complete assigned tasks.
- Develop test plans and acceptance criteria for testers across the team.
- Assist in the creation and control of test environments and installation procedures.
- Monitor and update estimated time-to-complete (ETC) for assigned tasks.
- Continuously enhance testing skills and technical knowledge within the team.
- Ensure adherence to entry and exit criteria for testing.
- Develop training plans for new testing resources.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant testing experience.
- Proven experience in analyzing data elements of enterprise applications and understanding relationships between them.
- Experience with business requirements analysis and functional/non-functional requirements.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools: SQL, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Experience working on Agile projects and using versioning tools such as GIT and Azure.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with formal requirements-gathering methodologies.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $55.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
