Position Overview
This is a full-time position located in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Analytics & Reporting Manager is a hands-on experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Manager who will lead our Analytics and BI Team and actively contribute to the design, development, and implementation of BI solutions. The Manager will additionally cross-train the team, to ensure knowledge is shared, with the goal of ensuring all team members can complete tasks effectively. This role will be a working manager role who will be instrumental in implementing BI strategies. The team is responsible for data analytics and reporting of Oklahoma Turnpike Authority’s toll and revenue data.
As an IT Team Member, each person must have flexibility in the duties they perform. Tasks may include operational responsibilities not directly related to initiatives but will be within the professional’s core skill set.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of BI roadmaps, ensuring the timely delivery of projects.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in data management and BI.
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across all BI systems.
- Utilize Looker Pro to develop advanced dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights.
- Provide training and support to team members and end-users on BI tools and techniques.
- Lead the implementation of BI solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and deliver value.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide effective BI solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest BI technologies and trends to continuously improve BI capabilities.
- All other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of five years of experience in computer or network operations, production control, programming or computer analysis, including two years in a supervisory, team leader or project manager capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting 12 semester hours in computer science or management information systems course work for each year of the required non-supervisory, leadership or management experience with a maximum substitution of two years plus one additional year of professional supervisory experience in data processing and one additional year of qualifying experience in an administrative capacity. No substitution will be permitted for the required additional one year of professional supervisory experience.
Preferred Requirements, Special Skills Or Knowledge
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform, Looker Pro, and other BI tools.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and tasks.
- Ability to manage and work successfully with personnel and peers in both a physical and remote work environment.
- Effectively and courteously communicate (both written and verbally).
- Superior communication and professional speaking skills.
- Successful candidates must exhibit strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques.
- Certifications in BI or data analytics tools.
- SolarWinds Data Performance Analyzer.
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.
- Jira and Confluence experience.
